Guitar Retreat 2027

Group 1

Friday–Sunday, July 16–18, 2027
Arrival from 12:00 noon on Friday.
Departure by 15:00 on Sunday.

Group 2

Monday–Wednesday, July 19–21, 2027
Arrival from 12:00 noon on Monday.
Departure by 15:00 on Wednesday.

The Retreat takes place at Backafallsbyn bungalow village on the Island of Ven, southern Sweden.
Sessions are held in a dedicated room with air conditioning. Evening jams happen in the bungalows.

Accommodation — per person, per night  2026 rates

I don't have the 2027 rates from Backafallsbyn yet — prices below are what was charged in 2026, shown as a guide. A small increase from year to year is common, so treat these as approximate for now. I'll update this page the moment the new numbers are confirmed.

Accommodation is paid directly to Backafallsbyn at checkout after the Retreat. Two nights total.

Meals & Food

Included in all accommodation options: Breakfast and lunch on Day 2 and Day 3, plus the Swedish fika (coffee, tea, cakes and fruit) every day.

Arrival day (Day 1): most people arrive right around lunchtime, but that first lunch isn't included — it's at your own cost. The venue restaurant is right there if you're hungry when you arrive.

Evening meals are enjoyed together but are not included in the accommodation price — these are at your own cost.

Cancellation Policy

This applies to the tuition fee paid to Homesick Mac — accommodation cancellation terms are set by Backafallsbyn directly.

Until May 16th, 2027 — free cancellation, full refund if already paid.

May 16th – June 16th, 2027 — 50% of the tuition fee will be invoiced.

Within 30 days of the Retreat — the full tuition fee applies.
